Always a perfect Espresso with the Motta Levelling tool
Do you obtain inconsistent results when preparing two espresso cups? Do you observe small holes penetrating the coffee puck when pulling out the portafilter?
This is because you produced the undesirable channelling effect when you brewed your Espresso which is, therefore, under-extracted.
With the Motta Levelling tool, you can prevent this to happen and will be able to perfectly extract all the aromas from your favourite coffee selection, constantly and evenly!
How it works
- Activate your grinder and pour about 7 grams (or 14 grams for two espresso cups) of premium coffee into the portafilter basket.
- Justly place the Motta levelling tool on the portafilter basket.
- Simply turn clockwise the levelling tool few times without pushing it. The ground coffee is evenly distributed over the full surface.
- Finally, remove the levelling tool from the portafilter basket and tamp (with an equivalent force of about 15Kg) the coffee.
How it is built
The levelling tool is made of a high-quality stainless steel base and a metallic knob decorated with the Motta logo.
A beautiful floral design knob is featured on this version. The base is available with diameters of 58mm.
Setting the height
A striking feature is the possibility of properly adjusting the height: firmly hold the stainless stell base in one hand and with the other gently turn counter clockwise the black knob until you reach the desired height.
